1. Accurately calculate the internal dimensions of the package
The internal dimensions of any product package must be determined according to the maximum external dimensions of the packaged product, and the different characteristics of the packaged product should also be understood. Due to the different shapes, varieties and properties of various commodities, the requirements for packaging are also different.
The calculation method of the internal size of a single product package is:
Length = maximum shape length of the product + length tolerance factor
Width = maximum external width of the product + width tolerance coefficient
Height = maximum shape height of the product + height tolerance coefficient
The calculation method of the internal dimensions of the plural commodity packaging is:
Internal Specifications: (Single Package Dimensions x Number of Arrangements) + Tolerance Factor + Arrangement Factor
2. Tolerance factor selection
The tolerance factor is determined by factors such as the thickness of the paper, the vertical and horizontal directions and the intrinsic relationship of the packaging box. In general, the length and width tolerance coefficients are 3-5mm; the height tolerance coefficients are 0-2mm.
When selecting the tolerance coefficient, it must be considered comprehensively. In addition to the elasticity of paper, there should be different requirements for different products, such as: for compressible items such as clothing, the tolerance coefficient can be smaller; for glassware, instruments, food, etc. For compressed items, the tolerance factor should be larger.
3. Determination of specifications
The choice of packaging size is related to the internal connection, which is related to whether the structure of the box is reasonable, and whether the shape is crisp, beautiful and solemn.
After the internal specifications of the packaging boxes, cans, cylinders and other containers are determined, the external specifications can be selected based on the internal size. The dimensions of the outer length, width and height of the packaging are respectively greater than the thickness of the inner length, width and height of one or two layers of paper material.
After the specifications of each part of the packaging box are determined, the method of proofing and trial installation can be used to check the rationality, aesthetics and artistry of the specifications, and then formally make the plate.
